Description
Heptanal dimethyl acetal has a pleasant odor reminiscent of walnut
and cognac. This substance may be synthesized from heptyl aldehyde and HCL in methanol solution, from heptyl aldehyde and
methanol in the presence of Twitchell’s reagent.
