what is a ceramide?

   Our skin naturally contains ceramides ~ they're part of our cellular structure that help to keep our skin resilient and hydrated. They help keep its appearance firm,and they protect our skin from visible damage from pollution and the elements. It's a "skin replenishing" ingredient that is good for ALL skin conditions... oily, sensitive, acne-prone, dry... everything. 

Over time, our skin's natural ceramides start to decrease. Pollution, UV rays, blue lights from our screens, and environmental damage are hard on our delicate barrier that protects our skin.

Anything that strips our skin of its natural oils can harm our natural ceramide level. Harsh cleansers, hand sanitizers (we know... they're everywhere), and many foaming soaps can be too stripping. 

    When our skin's barrier is weakened, it's up to us to restore what's been reduced.
